what fresh hell is this

I wrote this subject like an hour and haven’t had the brain cells to actually write the post.

And now I wrote that sentence a half hour ago. LOL.

I am struggling today. I’ve had a migraine since Saturday afternoon and I’ve just felt kinda blah all over. Tired, mentally and physically. I don’t feel like doing Monday.

I don’t really have much to post about today, either. I guess I should start with the big news. My grandparents were scheduled to get their vaccines on Thursday last week. on Wednesday, my grandpa tested positive for coronavirus. UGH! SO CLOSE! He’d already not been feeling well since at least the Friday before and finally went to the doctor. Everybody else in the house got tested and both my Mema and my aunt also tested positive.

Daddy Bob got an infusion and has been resting at home since. My aunt’s had some symptoms, coughing etc. THANKFULLY Mema has thus far been asymptomatic. Both of them are also going to get the same infusion therapy this week. Praying Mema stays asymptomatic and my aunt and Daddy Bob recover soon.

But seriously we were so close to getting them vaccinated.

And with that news my brain has just not had room for anything else. A coup at the capital? Can’t deal with it. Work stuff? Can’t deal with it. Stubbing my toe? Can’t deal with it.

Anyway, even though I don’t have much to show in the way of sewing today, I actually did sew every night last week.

I got the sleeves of my ceremonial Leia hemmed finally. Overall took like 6 hours between 4 nights. So that’s finally done, half a year later.

The tshirt blanket is turning out to be a dangerous trap. I tend to walk into my sewing room to do something and instead get under the blanket on the couch and just stare at my phone instead of working.

Saturday I had a hair appointment for the first time since June. My hair looked so ratty not having had a haircut in half a year! I looked like a shaggy yak. Trim and a new colour. I like this red, it’s giving me 2004 vibes, like I think will match my oldest Leia extensions from 2004 really well LOL.

Sunday just ran a few errands. I got started on Chase’s Chip jacket again. Got the first layer put together and he tried it on – it’s too big. Took up one side, but I’m going to take it all apart and copy the changes over to the other side and the pieces for the other layer. I was going to take it all apart last night but couldn’t find my little scissors, so I gave up. Instead I went and built a fort in the dining room to lay and play the sims and be lazy.

Put the box from my new dressform downstairs for Luna. She likes it.

Here’s the video from trying on Eliza last weekend, finally posted it on tiktok Saturday:

This week, I’m hoping to make good progress on the Chip jacket.
